Night fishing

September 2014 found us on the beach, and I decided to try my hand at shooting star fields. I pointed to the west and set the timer to thirty seconds. When I checked the shot, I found a couple fishing down the beach. I continued to shoot star fields, but this shot drew me as I was processing my night's work. I will try more star shots in the future...

Shepard

In May 1961, Alan Shepard rode Freedom 7 to an altitude of 116 miles, traveling 302 miles downrange in 15 minutes as the first American in space. It was that sub-orbital flight that launched American human space-flight. Shepard later returned to space as the commander of Apollo 14 and the oldest man to walk on the moon at age 47.

The Tower

In the spring of 2016 we made a visit to Greenville, SC. We decided to visit Furman University hoping to see the spring flowers. While the flowers were not out yet, this tower jumped out at me. Peeking Cat

Walking through the feline house in the Birmingham Zoo I spotted this beauty peeking around a small twig in the exhibit. What a look! All the cats in the exhibit had this look to their face. They were very interesting cats.
